Attitude Approaching the Off-SeasonApril 2, 2021 4:31 pm
The end of the season can put our minds in an odd place where we are feeling many mixed emotions. We’re exhausted from all the hard work we’ve put in; we’ve either succeeded in goals we’ve set and are now feeling satisfied with our work, or we’ve narrowly missed our goals and are feeling discouraged.
It’s not uncommon to want to move on and leave the season in the past, and that’s okay! When making the transition from the intense season we’ve just endured to the initial calm of the off-season we have the perfect opportunity to reset our mind. Rather than focusing on winning games, scoring goals, and making big saves we are now able to shift our focus towards improving ourselves both mentally, and physically!
As we transition into the off-season be sure to take the time to reset your mind and refocus on new goals. The grind of off-season training will be here before you know it! In the meantime, reset your mind…
